Melinsey mill
One of my favourite places to go in Cornwall is Melinsey mill.
I found it by accident, having just passed my driving test I was feeling a bit skittish and paniced in Veryan whilst trying to find a parking space. I squealed and took a random road and then stumbled across the mill, best wrong turn ever!
It used to be a working mill back in the day, and has been lovingly restored. You can even go and look at the mill from inside and watch the mechanics, but it also boasts a fantastic cafe, beautiful lake and arts & crafts shop.
My dad has recently restored his dream car so me, him and sausage decided to take the car for a spin to the mill.

Robins, chaffinches & tits joined us for lunch!

Teacups hang from the branches that line this path, so cute!

Everytime I visit I buy one of these strange magnets made by a local artist, he writes funny random things on the back of each one. I bought a school of fish today for £5, but sadly because they're so teeny there's no room on the back for his wit!

Back in Cornwall
Crossed the Tamar again and I'm back in Cornwall for 10 days, which is brilliant, the sun is shining and it's that perfect time of the year before the county is infested with emmits!

Lots of beachcombing to do while I'm down, and the consumption of many pasties is never a bad thing either!
Goodbye untill next time! X

No more soggy sausages!
Want want want!
I know its incredibly sad, almost a bit silly, to dress up dogs, but how cute is this little rain coat?! And practical too! I know Buster would look the bee's knees in this any day! By roc star dog boutique.

Been browsing the internet and came across Made it an Australian site (correct me if I'm wrong). I've been looking at a lot of independent shops selling designer and handmade crafts and one thing I can say for sure, the Australians really know how to effectively market their designs. I find the sites a lot more engaging than its USA or UK equivalents. My friend is travelling at the moment and has raved about the Australian and New Zealand magazines she can buy out there, annoyed that she can't take them all with her!
But its not all bad news, Blighty has some good inspiring online magazines. I found Neet Magazine, the other day, and UK Handmade is always a good read.

New additions
Couple more new items in the shop, been busy making up some new items, both for galleries and shop stock, including this lovely necklace....
It has a very simple colour palette but as its quite neutral it would go with pretty much anything, defo one of my favourites in the shop at the moment.

Ice cream colours
Been noticing more and more people wearing chalky colours in Brighton at the moment and the sun is still shining, I've been sat with the window open all day making more pastel & neutral coloured necklaces. I will post these online tomorrow, but in the meantime here are some new photos of pieces currently for sale...

Getting a parcel together for my best friend who is travelling at the moment, currently in New Zealand. It's hard deciding what to send due to her new hobo-like lifestyle (carrying her lifes belongings on her back. When she turned up here before she got her flight I swear her bag was bigger than her!).
If I was away from England I would want Cadburys chocolate, Lady Grey tea, Vogue and maybe some good cheddar!
