Wahey

Well,
I read in Grazi that ten years ago we were all probably sending "happy new year" texts on a Nokia brick phone. I have finally joined the technologically advanced and am currently blogging on my new iPhone. It's all very exciting but I have not neglected my old communication skills. When I came back from Cornwall there was this cute letter waiting for me from my small friend who is travelling for a year, the mushrooms are so Gemma! So I will be composing a reply soon.
I have already started on the vino so have a good newyear and I'll be blogging again in 2010!
Goodbye, untill next time

Clay tips

Had a fantastic Christmas. The Ice down in Cornwall was pretty bad and restricted my movements somewhat, but it was nice to just curl up on the sofa and watch bad TV.
I really enjoyed the Gruffalo, I've never read the book so I didn't know the story but the animation flowed well and I really liked the character design. I actually studied Animation, so I'm always drawn to kids cartoons and find myself over analysing everything. It was a pretty simple storyline but very effective, but I suppose thats what makes a good kids book!
You can watch it via the magic of BBC iPlayer by clicking here.

Went on a lovely Boxing day walk around the clay pits in St Austell, the water was this amazing milky ice blue colour (from the clay sediments) which clashed with the baroness of the clay tips. I love going for a walk here as you never tend to see anyone else around. Living in Brighton I get a bit fed up with the madness of the city and sometimes its hard to escape the hoards, so I appreciate coming somewhere like this.
Goodbye, untill next time.

And the Winner is....

Wow, I had nearly 200 entries to my competition in just over a week, far more than I had expected! So last night I used the height of technology to find the winner of the pretty brown sea glass studs I was giving away, by using Buster, my Super Shiny sausage dog.
I wrote down the numbers and got him to pick them out with his paw, which he did, begrudgingly! The Winner was 073, Joy from Somerset has been notifyed and hopefully she will get her earrings before Xmas!
Thanks to everyone who entered, I will be doing another competition in January, so please check my site for updates.
Goodbye, untill next time!

Shop Floor Project Award

Just learnt today that one of my stockists, The Shop Floor project, has won a very prestigeous award with Handbag.com Online Fashion Awards, for best site design, beating brands like Victor & Rolf and Yves Saint Laurent, FAB!

The Shop Floor Project started as an antidote to the usual website shopping, the site is actually laid out like a shop and you can explore the site easily to find exciting handmade products by independant designers (like me!)
Congrats to them
you can visit their site HERE or click HERE and scroll along to see my work.

Goodbye, untill next time!
